Hi everyone ... Re the below 'Ruth Miniard / Minyard; md to Moses Maggard. Did Ruth have a sister, Elizabeth; md to a Moses Maggard also. I have Ruth and Elizabeth being the daughters of Israel Miniard and Mary 'Polly' Turner. I wonder if Ruth and Elizabeth could possibly be one and the same. I don't have a lot of experience tracking the Maggard lineages .... maybe someone could help keep me straight. Hello there, in reply to your question....yes...Ruth did have a sister Elizabeth also married to a Moses. Ruth md. Moses (Branch Mose) Maggard, s/o Samuel II and Rachel (Sturgill) Maggard. This Moses was born abt 1837 Elizabeth md. Moses (John's Mose) Maggard, s/o John Benjamin and Sarah 'Sally' (Adams) Maggard. This Moses was born 05 Mar 1824, Franks Creek Harlan (now Letcher) Co., KY and died 1899, Maggard Branch, Leslie Co., KY.
