She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Combs Henson. She is survived by her husband, Toney Jones; father Arthur Henson; sons Toney Bugard Jones and Mitchell Lee Jones; sisters Deborah Kay Miller and Doris Noble; brothers Eugene Henson, Arthur Henson and Lewis Glen Henson; best friends Brittany Hime, Gordey Hime and Peggy Hughes; 15 nephews and six nieces. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at the County Line Community Church. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 23 with Walter Hughes and Bennie Combs officiating. Interment will be at Neace Family Cemetery on Sixteen Mile Creek. ****************************************** Robert Bowling Robert Veston Bowling, 68, formerly of Hazard, died Saturday, September 17 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington. He was the son of the late Jim Bowling and the late Zona Johnson Bowling, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Bowling, and brothers Linden and James Bowling. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jama Bowling; daughters Evalee and Wendy; sons Robert Veston, Jr. and Lindon; sisters Ann Riley and husband Richard, Jean Robinson, Joyce Terry and husband Charlie and Brenda Daughtery and husband David; brothers Bige Bowling and Sonny Bowling and wife Shelia; mother-in-law Faye Roulette; sister-in-law Augalyn Combs and husband Randall; brother-in-law Strother "Koky" Randolph; beloved pets Turbo and Scarlet; his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 19. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20 with Joe Blackburn officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Jackson. ******************************************* Browne Oliver Browne Oliver, 86, of Hazard, died Saturday, September 17 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was the son of the late Hobert Oliver and the late Eva Oliver, and was also preceded in death by sister Alice Gayheart and brothers Dan and Earl Oliver. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other extended family members. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard, where the family will received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21. Services will follow with Joe Engle officiating. Interment will be at Gayhart Cemetery in Lost Creek. ******************************************** Arthur Miller Arthur Miller, 71, of Bulan, died Saturday, September 17 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was a serviceman for GTE Telephone Company for many years, and the son of the late Mason Miller and the late Mora Lovins Miller. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Virgil Miller. He is survived by his wife, Lelia Miller; daughter Cassandra Callahan and husband Brent; sons Jonathan Miller and wife Teresa and Gregory Miller; sisters Kathleen Miller, Phyllis Jones and Allie Kronberg; brother Dennis Miller and six grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, September 19. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20 with Rev. Clell Miller and Rev. Densmore Goodson officiating. Interment will be at Miler Lovins Cemetery in Dwarf. ********************************************* Malissa Starnes Malissa Napier Starnes, 52, died Wednesday, September 14 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Hazard, the daughter of Loretta Napier and the late William B. Napier. She was a lifelong resident of Perry County and a member of the Davidson Baptist Church and graduate of Morehead State University. She is survived by her husband, Merle L. Starnes of Hazard; mother Loretta Napier of Hazard; brother Greg Napier of Hazard; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 17 at the Engle-Walker Perry County Chapel on Morton Blvd. with Rev. Pete Youmans officiating. Burial followed in the Napier Cemetery at Rowdy. ********************************************** Robert Bargo Robert Scott Bargo, 59, died Monday, September 12. He was the son of Robert Lee and Wanda Smith Bargo and is survived by sons Robert Justin Bargo and Josh Elliot Scott Bargo; daughter Jessica Adams; sisters Karen Broughton of Barbourville and Susie Broughton of Tennessee; brother Tyrus Fortney of Lexington and grandchildren Robert and Katlin Adams. Other survivors include Phyllis Wilson of Hazard and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. The memorial service will be held at the Engle Walker Funeral Home of Hazard on Friday, September 16 at 7 p.m. with Armand Nicholas officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. *********************************************** Polly Eversole Polly Ann Eversole, 64, passed away on Monday, September 12. She was born on December 13, 1946 to the late William and Callie Eversole. She is survived by her husband, Enoch Eversole; daughters Tresa Matthews and husband Daniel of Shelby, Ohio, Callie Robinson and husband Mitchell of Middlebury, Indiana, Tammy Browning and husband John of Goshen, Indiana; brothers Chancey Combs and wife Connie of Combs, Beecher Eversole and wife Wanda of California and Isaac and wife Cheryl of Salam, Ohio; sisters Rebecca Couch and husband Odell of Couchtown and Maxine Richards and husband Richard of Busy; grandchildren Monica Paplow, Melissa and Mitch Robinson Jr., Justin Matthew's, Sarah Kumpf, Michael Robinson, Amanda Browning, Amy Browning,Marshall Browning, and John Browning II. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death grandson Martin Robinson, Parents William and Callie Eversole, three sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15 at the Engle Walker Funeral Home of Hazard Kentucky at 11 a.m. with Paul Couch officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service on Thursday in the Eversole Family Cemetery at Snatch Creek, Kentucky. ************************************************ Charles Sturges-Storm Charles Scott Sturges-Storm, 39, died Wednesday, September 7. He was born to Diane Combs and the late Charles Sturges in Hazard on December 15, 1971, and is survived by his son, Gregory Seitz, of Colorado; daughter Mercedes (Sadie) Boren of Yankton, South Dakota; mother Diane Kronemeyer and husband Kelly of Hazard; sister Nedra Mise; grandfather Kirby Combs; aunts Connie Combs, Mary Joseph, Dina Campbell, Teresa Gross, Gail Colwell and Charlene Dunsil; uncle Kirby Combs, Jr.; nephews Zach Knight and Bobby Lane Mise; and niece Bridgette Redmond. Preceding him in death were his father, William Charles Sturges, his adopted dad Roger Storm, grandparents Clara Combs, Charles and Vivian Sturges and step-grandmother Frances Nelson. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 13 at the Engle Walker Funeral Home of Hazard. *************************************************
