He was a retired welding instructor for Leslie County Vo-Tech and the son of the late Steve Mullins and the late Hazel Blanton Mullins. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Gene Ruth Carpenter; sister Faye Baker; and brothers Tommy, Garfield, Gaythern, Boyd and Jay. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Mullins; daughter Crystal Wells and husband Dan; sons Clyde Mullins, Jr. and wife Vivian and Charlie Mullins and wife Kimberly; sister Juanita Osborne; brothers Marvin and Kermit Mullins; special grandchild Christian Steven McCoy Carpenter; and nine grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Sherman Oliver and the late Nancy Parker, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Bud" Combs. She is survived by daughter Josephine Perry, Mary Lynn Howard and husband Jerry, Nancy Radcliffe and husband McKee, Betty Allen and husband Yvon and Trudy Wells and husband Jerry; son Cecile Combs and wife Abbie along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
