Someone wrote to me asking if I knew who the Bessie Combs was that is in the obit below. I have a lot of Bessie Combs but none married to a Sam Caudill. Anyone have a Bessie Combs married to a Sam Caudill? Carter Watson Caudill, 87, of Jeremiah passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Corbin Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. Watson was the son of the late Sam Ray and Bessie Combs Caudill. He was the widower of Mildred Finley Caudill. Surviving are 3 sons: Bobby (Blanche) Caudill of Louisville, Owen K. Caudill of Jeremiah, and Gano (Vickie) Caudill of Jeremiah; 3 daughters: Bernice (Olan) Adams of Springboro, Ohio, Brenda (Ed) Turner of London, and Christine (Bobby) Turner of Corbin; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren. Funeral: 11:00 O'clock A.M. Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Virgil Caudill and Wayne Caudill officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking, Kentucky.
