Carter Preble Co OH 1990 Obituary Georgia J Combs, 77, of Clinton, TN, formerly of West Alexandria, died Friday, June 22 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was a member of the Grace Brethren Church in Trotwood and was attending Mt Pisgah Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, TN. Survivors include her husband, Ashford; a son and daughter-in-law, the Rev Robert and Julie Combs of Norton, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Bruce E Garber of West Milton, Bertha and Benjamin Grauman of New Lebanon; a daughter-in-law Dorothy Hsu of Columbus. Also surviving are three brothers, Edward C Combs of Ormond Beach, Fl, Charles L Combs of Bonaire, GA, and Harold combs of Franklin; one sister, Edith E Meadows of Clayhole, KY; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were Tuesday, 26 June at the Barnes-Preble Memory Gardens Chapel, with the Rev Charles Lawson officiating. Burial was in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt Pisgah Baptist Church Bible Ministry, Oliver Springs, TN Georgia was the d/o Nathan Wilson Combs and Eva Joy Landrum. She married Ashford Combs, s/o Robert Combs and Sarah Fugate. Preble Co OH 1983 Obituary Harrison Combs, 52, of 3806 Old Ohio 68 South, Xenia, died Friday evening at the Greene Memorial Hospital, Xenia. He was a self-employed roofing contractor. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth; one son Tony of Xenia; one daughter, Mary Hobbs of Xenia; his mother, Partiett Campbell of New Hope; four brothers, William and Andrew Combs both of Eaton, Artis Combs of Xenia, and Earl combs of Morrow; five sisters, Asilee Wright of Crossville TN, Ora Bennett of Wilmington, Carolyn Radeffer of Eaton, Alma combs of West Alexandria, and Norma Ikert of Waynesville. Funeral Services for Mr Combs were Tuesday at the Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton with the Rev James Bland of Memorial Baptist Church of Eaton officiating. Burial was in Preble Memory Gardens near West Alexandria. Harrison Combs was the s/o Robert Combs and Parriet Campbell. Preble Co OH 1995 Obituary Hattie B Combs, 83, of US 35 East, West Alexandria, died Monday, Sep 11 at Good Samartin Hospital in Dayton. Born June 24, 1912 in Jackson, KY, she was the daughter of James and Millie (Freeman) Bowles. Mrs Combs retired from the Lazarus Department Store in 1977 after 27 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eaton. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Darlene Combs of West Alexandria; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Fred Durkel of West Alexandria; five grandchildren, Steve Combs, Doug Combs, Rob Durkle, all of West Alexandria, Debra Bennett of Eaton and Peggy Ludwig of West Carrollton; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Hacker of Manchester, KY; and one brother, Merida Hacker of Lexington, KY. She was preceeded in death by two sisters, Hadie Gray and Gladys Webb; and a brother, Charles Bowles. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday September 14 at Lindhoff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria, with the Rev Fred Hill officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Wednesday, September 13 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to West Alexandria Emergency Squad or to the First Baptist Church in Eaton. Hattie was married to Winfred Ervin Combs, s/o Samuel Preston Combs and Martha Bratcher.
