Services for Mr Combs were at 1:30 pm Thursday at Griteo-Schmidt Funeral Home with burial in the Preble Memorial Gardens. Rev Richard Wilcox officiated. Robert was the s/o Wade Combs and Polly Ann Fugate. Alla Combs Mrs Alla Gora Combs, 65, of Route 3, Quinn Road, West Alexandria, died Saturday at Granview Hospital, Dayton. Mrs Combs had been in poor health for some time. Survivors include her husband, Logan; five daughters, Marie Johnson of Phoenix AZ, Jean Howard of Englewood, Rebecca Hatfield of Miamisburg, Phyllis Welch of Brookville and Wanda Combs at home; two sons, Grover Combs and Delanie Combs, both of New Lebanon; seventeen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; her father, Austin Combs of Jackson, KY; two sisters, Goldie Hudson of Jackson, KY and Nazzie Combs of Middletown; one brother, Jessie Combs of Indianapolis, Ind. Services for Mrs Combs will be at 2 pm Thursday at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Jackson, KY with the Rev Lewis Combs officiating. Burial will be in the Combs Cemetery there. Preble Co OH 1993 Obituary Ashford Combs Ashford Combs, 81, of 1590 Raymond Drive, Tipp City, died Wednesday, March 31, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. Born 30 July 1911 in Perry County, KY, he was the son of Robert and Sally (Fugate) Combs. He taught school from 1938 to 1942 in a one room schoolhouse in Kentucky and in 1973 retired from GM Delco Products in Dayton after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Trotwood Grace Brethren Church and had served with the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia J combs in 1990; a son Ronald Earl Combs; three brothers, John Cannon Combs, Governor Beckham Combs and Grover Cleveland Combs; four sisters, Mahalia Godsey, Laura Wooten, Naomi Holiday and Adna Noble. Survivors include, one son, the Rev Robert Phillip Combs of Norton, OH; two daughters, Wenona Ruth Garber of Tipp City and Bertha Grace Grauman of New Lebanon; two sisters, Lola Tedrick of Cincinnati and Elizabeth Rayburn of Fairfield; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
