He was born about 1858 in Perry Co. He married Marinda Stacy d/o James Stacy and Nancy Combs in 1881. Children are: Samuel Hughes, Nancy Hughes, Susan Hughes (married James McCowan), James Hughes (married Etta Collins or Collier), Benjamin Hughes (married Alice Turner), Margaret Hughes, Emory Hughes and Lydia Jane Hughes (married Jesse Morris. They lived in Perry Co. until Elisha died then Marinda and some of her children moved to Breathitt Co. Would appreciate any information I could get on these people.
