    3. I got this from Ancestry.com this morning: Insider scoop for you: we should have every page, all 3.8 million of them, online on Ancestry.com sometime tomorrow (latest ETA is by 2 p.m. Eastern Friday - maybe sooner). Also wanted to let people know that it is easier to find people (until the indexes come out) if they lived in Chicago if you use this site, http://www.alookatcook.com/1940/index.htm . I have been looking for my husband's parents and when I used the address on his grandfather's WWII Draft Registration it was easy to find them (after a couple of days looking). If I had gone here first, it would have taken less than 15 minutes. Good luck!! Phyllis

    3. it appears that not all district are noted in the both Illinois and Kentucky files. I have been lookiing for both grandparents. In Illinois they lived on Elm street in Morton Grove (cook county) and in Kentucky my father lived in Alias (Hazard) in the 20 district near 1st and 2nd creek. Maybe all the names aren't listed yet. Family names are Stejskal in Morton Grove and Slone in Kentucky. Help. >________________________________ > From: Phyllis Reynolds Goelz <dudpa@runnelsfork.com> >To: KYKNOTT-L@rootsweb.com; KyPerryKnott@yahoogroups.com; KYPERRY-List <KYPERRY-L@rootsweb.com> >Sent: Thursday, April 5, 2012 3:19 PM >Subject: [KYPERRY] 1940 Census > >I got this from Ancestry.com this morning:  Insider scoop for you: we should >have every page, all 3.8 million of them, online on Ancestry.com sometime >tomorrow (latest ETA is by 2 p.m. Eastern Friday - maybe sooner). > > > >Also wanted to let people know that it is easier to find people (until the >indexes come out) if they lived in Chicago if you use this site, >http://www.alookatcook.com/1940/index.htm .  I have been looking for my >husband's parents and when I used the address on his grandfather's WWII >Draft Registration it was easy to find them (after a couple of days >looking).  If I had gone here first, it would have taken less than 15 >minutes.  Good luck!! > > > >Phyllis > > >------------------------------- >To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to KYPERRY-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > >
