JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON MARTHA TRISSEL FROM THE DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 2/28/08 Martha Doris Gibson Smith Trissel went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2008 at Sycamore Hospital. Martha was born on August 24, 1931 to Holt and Myrtle Gibson, in Buckhorn, KY. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila; son, James; their father Hershel Smith; and son, Eddie Trissel. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Robert L. Trissel; children, Shirley Smith Ewert, Nashville, TN, Jeffery and Teresa Smith, Whitley City, KY, Sandy Davis and Jon Smith, Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Dylan and Georgia Fogle, Nashville, TN, Zach, Abe, and Ben Bell, Dayton, OH, Megan and Josh Breeding, Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Lauren and Jared Smith, Miamisburg, OH, Melisa Hertz, TX, Mariah Smith, Vandalia, OH, Chris and Jason Trissel, Dayton, OH; great-grandchildren, Caleb Fogle, Nashville, TN Abigail Ballinger, Miamisburg, Chloe Breeding, Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Martha was blessed to be a part of a large, loving family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ! her brother, Astor Gibson, and her sisters, Essie McConnell, Grace Smith, and Ruth Deaton. She is survived by the remaining sisters, Mary Lee Johnson, Sally Estes, Louise and Roscoe Smith, Betty Jean and Claude Gay, Bobbi Jo and Charles Stewart, all of OH, and Naomi Cole, of MI. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Viewing will be held March 1, 2008 from 11 - 1:30 at Lighthouse Baptist Temple, 4033 Highway 123, Franklin, OH with services to follow at 1:30. She will be interred at Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
