Gloria I have Joe in my database from the census records but don't have any parents for him. A possibility is that he could be the s/o Alexander S Combs and Polly Brashear. However their Joseph was in the 1870 Census but not in the 1880 and could have died young. Also remember that there were two Alexander Combs that married Polly Brashear.
