JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON HERSHEL SMITH FROM THE DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 1/16/08 Hershel Smith, age 78, of Carlisle, OH, born in Perry County, KY, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on January 15, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Jean, of 57 years and eleven of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Don (Diane) of Clearcreek Township, OH; grandchildren, Rocky (Jennifer) Smith of Dayton, OH, Candice (Matthew) Manning of Oakwood, OH, Nate (Allison) Wilson of Atlanta, GA and Amy (Joe) Carr of Columbus, OH. He also leaves nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a well known builder/contractor for over 40 years in the Dayton area. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on January 18, 2008 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N. Main Street, Springboro, OH. Burial will follow in Woodhill Cemetery.
