Carter William Henry "Bill" Combs was born October 6th, 1917 and departed this life Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008, reaching the age of 90 years. He was the son of the late Nicholas Combs and Louvena Evans Combs. He was united in marriage to Brenda Brown, who survives him. He is also survived by one daughter-Suzette Denise Combs, one stepson-Harvey Barnett, ten grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers-Woody, Little, Arlie and Jimmy Combs and two sisters-Melody Leach and Vina Ritchie. He served his country faithfully and was honorably retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
