JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON JIMMY SMITH FROM THE XENIA (OH) DAILY GAZETTE 1/19/08 Jimmy Smith age 56 of New Carlisle, OH, passed away January 17, 2008 in Grandview Hospital. Jimmy was born April 10, 1951 in Hazard, KY, the son of James and Dicie Smith. Jimmy worked for Martin-Marietta and was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Smith and brothers, Larry Smith and Gus Smith. Survivors include his wife Phyllis of 37 years; mother, Dicie Mae Jones of Enon, OH; daughter, Laura Smith of New Carlisle, OH; sons, Steven Smith of Roseville, MI and Michael Smith of New Carlisle, OH; grandchildren, Nathan, Jayda, Zachery, and Alexis; sisters, Dodie Pettit and Sue Bozarth both of Fairborn, OH, Becky Smith of Enon, OH and Sandy Wells of Hazard, KY; brothers, Joe Smith of Ft. Knox, KY, Buster Smith of Marion, IN and Sam Smith of IN. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. January 20, 2008 in the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main Street, Fairborn, OH where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. January 21, 2008 with Pastor Randy Warner off! iciating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery.
