Wells WELLS, William E. Sr. 91, of the Cooper community passed away Sunday, May 16, 2004 at his home in Monticello, KY. He was born March 11, 1913 in Hazard, [Perry County], KY; the son of Joe Wells and Mary Belle Walker Wells, whom preceded him in death. He married Gertrude Yancey, whom preceded him in death. Survived by daughter, Wanda Louise Meade of Kettering, OH; sons, William E. Wells Jr. of Monticello, KY, Joel Ray Wells of Dayton, OH, Irvin D. Wells of Germantown, OH, Richard Wells of Springfield, OH, Kenneth Allen Wells of Dayton, OH, Robert S. Wells. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one brother, John Wells, one sister, Anna McAlister, several half brothers and sisters; 1 great-grandchild. He was a retired employee of Delco Products a division of General Motors. Funeral services Friday May 21, 2004 at 4 P.M. at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home chapel, Monticello, KY, with Bro. Virgil Richardson officiating. Burial i! n the Elk Spring Cemetery. Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
