Hello everyone from SC, I need to give a big thank you to my cousin, J. P. Downard. When I retired and got reconnected with him, he told me I needed to get involved with genealogy, and it was through his insistance, guidance and direction that he introduced me to my "roots". He has never lost patience with me but listened as I told him over and over again of my boo-boos and then he worked with me to correct my mistakes. He helped me maintain confidence in what I was doing. I know I have aggravated him to death, but he is still there for me, and he has shared so many research notes, pushing me forward when I get disgusted and want to quit. I have learned so much through his efforts, and it opened up a whole new world of "ancestors" to me. A BIG THANK YOU TO JULIAN, AND TO LYNDA, JIM BOB AND ALL THE OTHERS OUT THERE WHO TIRELESSLY GIVE OF THEIR TIME TO BRING TO THE REST OF US "OUR ROOTS".
