VERNA TAULBEE Verna Taulbee, 57, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital where she had been a patient for six weeks. She was born on Oct. 24, 1944, in Hazard, Ky., and had lived in Middletown for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Fannie (Holland) Combs. Surviving are two daughters, Jena Childers and Tracy Hudson, and her husband Asa, all of Middletown; two sons and their wives, Lyman and Lisa Combs of Hazard Ky., and Matthew and Toni combs of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Jonathan and Tiffany Holland, Jacob Hudson, Jessie and Jeffrey Combs and Stephanie and Lindsey Reardon; a brother Orville Combs of Hazard,Ky., two sisters, Ollie Ritchie and Ethel Combs, both of Hazard; and many friends and other relatives. ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, where funeral services are set for 1 pm Thursday, Dec. 13.
