    3. I wish to thank Lynda again for coming through for me. She sent me info that I needed desperately concerning my grandfather, Samuel Newton Webb. Samuel Newton Webb came from Dayton, Rhea Co.,TN. to Ky with my native american grandmother, Arizona Webb Walker, and children and began working in the mines for Hazard Coal Co. over at Bluegrass. Sadly, he was killed in March of 1918. Their children were Carl Walker, Richard Walker, Emma Walker (Farler), Pearl Walker (Perry), Ruby Walker (Stacy) (my mother), and Mae Walker. All of these are now deceased. I never met my grandfather for I came along many years after he passed, but I have dear, dear memories of my grandmother, Arizona. Lynda has burned the midnight oil trying to help me find a death certificate for my grandmother but it appears there was none. However, in the archives at the Hazard Library we found her obit that appeared in the Hazard Herald in August of 1942. What would we do without the tireless efforts of people such as Lynda, Jimmie, and all those others out there that work beyond the call helping us all find our roots. My thanks to you, Lynda, many times over. Ida Lee Hansel Spartanburg SC
