Grant E.G. Banks HAZARD - Grant E.G. Banks, 68, husband of Clercy Colwell Banks, died Mon., May 24, 2004 at the Hazard A.R.H. in Hazard, KY. He was born in Perry Co., KY, the son of the late Eli Banks and Nancy Maggard Banks. He was the retired owner of Banks Furniture, which was in Christopher, KY. Survivors other than his wife are one daughter, Tracey M. Combs; two brothers, Boney H. Banks and John M. Banks; three sisters, Opal Sizemore, Lillian Caudill, Jean Turley; three grandchildren, Nicholas Lee Combs, Misty Michelle Combs, Sydney Makenna Combs and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Enice, Elbert, Leroy and Edwin Banks; one sister, Verna Mae Crowe. Funeral services will be 11 am Thurs., Maggard Brothers Chapel.
