She was born on April 12, 1927, in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of Dee and Mae (Hensley) Gibson. On August 25, 1942, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, she married William P. “Pappy” Miller and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2002. She was employed at Mercy Hospital and Helton’s Nursing Home as a LPN. She was a member of St. Clair Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons, William (Wilma) Miller of Jacksonville, Florida, Randall (Sandra) Miller of Hamilton, Richard (Sally) Miller of Hamilton and Shawn (Cindy) Miller of Jacksonville, Florida; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, June 11, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 3950 Pleasant Avenue, Hamilton with Pastor Ty Choate officiating. Burial in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If so desired, remembrances may be sent to American Cancer Society.
