There is approximately $423,000 available for local grants for cemetery preservation and restoration. The grants range from a minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $25,000, with a one to one cash match requirement. State agencies, local governments, and nonprofit organizations such as cemeteries, historical and genealogical organizations, and local community or civic groups may apply. However, those submitted through a local cemetery board will receive funding priority. You are receiving this letter because you have requested information from this office in the past and have indicated an interest in cemetery preservation.
