    3. [Hazard Herald 20 June 1912, page 2 - Transcribed by Freddie Wilson] ANOTHER KILLING - Sam Stacey telephoned Sheriff Horn that he was on his way from near Second Creek to surrender himself. He made his appearance shortly after the report of a shooting having taken place, in which Steve Standafer, age 35, married, leaving a wife and five children to mourn his loss, was almost instantly killed. The shooting took place in Stacey's store. Stacey wanted a speedy hearing and had three persons, who were present at the time of the shooting, summoned. The preliminary trial will be held today (Thursday) too late for this issue. [If anyone knows who the above Sam Stacey/Stacy was or has additional information on the incident, please contact me] Freddie
