Hazard Herald Obituaries: Week of October 24, 2007 Paralee Grigsby Paralee Grigsby, 82, of Clark County, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 19. She departed this life in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 20, 1925, in Perry County, Kentucky, the daughter of Jesse and Lucy Brewer Fugate. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Lawrence Grigsby on October 18, 1997, and her son, Don Grigsby on May 24, 2007. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carley and Mike Spieker of Springfield, Ohio, three sons and two daughters-in-law, David A. and Kathy Grigsby of Seven Springs, North Carolina, Tim W. Grigsby and Jessle L. and Laura Grigsby, all of Springfield, Ohio. She is also survived by three brothers and their wives, Carl and Patty Fugate of Jamestown, Ohio, Donald and Betty Fugate of Alabama and Saul and Judy Fugate of Englewood, Ohio, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Florence Adams of South Vienna, Ohio, Sally and Dan Headley of Springfield, Ohio and Juanita and Lindell Keeton of New Carlisle, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, husband and son, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Verta Creech, Dora Campbell and Geneva Robbins. She was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, quilting, cooking and attending church at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church. Visitation was held on Monday afternoon, October 22 at the Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home in Springfield, Ohio. The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday afternoon at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Roy McIntosh officiating. Burial was at the Enon Cemetery. Hospital. Mr. Combs was 82 years of age at the time of his passing. The son of the late Henry Lee and Mary Neace Combs, Mr. Combs is survived by his wife, Deloris Combs, his daughter, Louise Noble of Bonnyman and his two sons, Denny Ray Bush of Hazard and Jimmy Lee Combs of Arkansas. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family received friends yesterday evening, Tuesday, October 23, at Maggard Brothers Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted at noon today, Wednesday, October 24, with the Rev. Granville McIntosh officiating. Interment will be at the Neace Cemetery in Dice.
