Deb, We have pappaw trees here. I don't know if the raccoons left anything to get seeds from. I'll gladly give you the whole tree! You do the digging!!! Ah...this brings back wonderful memories of my grandmother spoon feeding me pawpaw on our front porch on Georges Creek in Lawrence Co. in the mid 40s. We had a pawpaw tree near the end of our porch. If you have never eaten pawpaw....it takes almost exactly like banana. The consistence is much softer than bananas, thus the spoon feeding. Thank you for brining back this memory from 60 some odd years ago. Sharon, We have so many critters running around here at night that we have never had an edible pawpaw from our trees. They always seem to know whereto find them!
