JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON MATTIE COMBS FROM THE MIDDLETOWN (OH) JOURNAL 10/24/07 Mattie Geraldine Rose Combs, age 78, of Middletown, OH died October 25, 2007 at the Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born February 3, 1929 in Perry County, KY, the daughter of John Rose and Belvia (Gross) Rose. She is survived by four sons, Quentin (Deborah) Combs of Middletown, OH, Vic (Carolyn) Combs of Haverhill, MA, Brian (Christy) Combs of Hunter, OH, David (Sue) Combs of Haverhill, MA; and one daughter, Jan (Blake) Freeze of Middletown, OH; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Larry) Bailey, Evan Combs, David Combs, Nicole Sanderson, Megan Combs, Wesley Combs Purvis and Karen Combs Purvis; one great grandchild, Evelyn Smith (and two expected); one brother, Linville Rose of TN; and two sisters, Ann DeBord of Carlisle, OH and Rena Moore of FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Combs in 2001; a son, Clyde Spencer Combs; her parents; a sister, Irene Boley; and two brothers, Dana Rose and Michael Rose. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, October 29, 2007 at the! Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Leiter officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM, October 28, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
