The daughter of her departed parents, Frank and Sophia Adkins of Hazard, KY and widow of Eli Leslie (Les) Combs, was born in Hazard, KY on June 3, 1927. She also lived many years in Whitesburg, KY before spending her final years in Lexington. She is survived by two brothers, Ted Adkins (Juanita) and Paul Adkins (Elaine, deceased). She gave us five sons, Eli Leslie (Les) Jr of Las Vegas, NV, David C. (Cathy) of Lexington, KY, and C. Glen (Jamie) of Lexington, KY. The two deceased sons are Homer L. (K. Diane, also deceased), and James Coy (Madonna) all of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Private family services are being held in Hazard, with burial to follow at the Resthaven Cemetery. All of the grandchildren will be pallbearers. Remembranes may go to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
