Evelyn was born January 4, 1924 in Hazard, [Perry County], Kentucky. She was a member of Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Poore; son, Reynoldo V. Poore; parents, Simon and Janie Combs; sisters; Winnie Thompson, Christine Clayton, Edith Fox, and Elizabeth Boyce; brothers: John, James and Simon Combs Jr. She leaves to mourn, daughters; Edna M. Howell-Parrish (William) of Atlanta, Ramona R. Knox (Rufus), Julia L. Beach (Ceopha), Joyce E. Keith (Derek), Shelia A. Moore (Clinton) and Rachell R. Poore; sons; Craig M. Poore (Jacqui) and Anthony J. Poore; all of Dayton, sister; Charity Lindon (Hazard, Ky); brother, Lionel Combs (Dayton); brother- in- law, Eugene Boyce; daughter- in - law, Christine Poore; (14) grandchildren; (12) great - grandchildren; adopted family members, Gloria J. Wilson and Howard Philip, Jr.; devoted neighbors and friends; J.D. ! Graber, Keith Kinzer and Beverly Young; Michelle Munday; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. Services 11:00 am Saturday, March 20,2004 at Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church, 3317 Hoover Avenue, Dayton Ohio 45407, Pastor Reverend Dr. Frederick Wright Sr. Officiating.
