Vessely Mary L. Vessely, age 81, of Hamilton, passed away in Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise, on Thursday, April 15, 2004, at 12:50 a.m. She was born in Perry County, Kentucky, on March 18, 1923, the daughter of Butler and Jallie (Watkins) Wilson. Mary was a member of West Side Church of Christ and was employed as a social worker for the Dept. of Human Resources of Butler County for twenty-five years, retiring in 1987. On April 29, 1941, in Covington, Kentucky, she was married to Luther Parks and he preceded her in death; on April 22, 1966, in Hamilton, she was married to Robert Vessely and he preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sue Parks of Hamilton and Pamela and her husband Woody Hanger of Oxford; two devoted sisters, Ruth Blankenburg and Virginia Lee Brandner, both of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Jeff and Michelle Jamison and Jordan and Eliot Hanger and a number of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Frederick S. Parks in 2003; one daughter, Jodi Lynn Parks in 1958 and two brothers, Ledford and Raymond Wilson. Funeral services will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Saturday, April 17, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dan Knisley, Pastor of the West Side Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The family requests memorials to Hospice of Hamilton. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to Dr. William Krall and to the Staff of Hospice of Hamilton for their loving care and concern.
