Hazard Herald Thursday, Sept 20, 1934 Mrs Asher Killed Mrs. Jennie ASHER of Hyden, 72 years old, died at 8:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the Hazard hospital from injuries recieved at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon when she was struck by a car driven by Raymond COUCH. Mrs. ASHER was rushed to the hospital after the accident where an x-ray examination revealed a skull fracture and a spine injury. Raymond COUCH, 18 years old, is the son of Woodson COUCH. Car that he was driving is owned by Farmer OSBORN, an uncle. A warrant for the arrest of Mr. COUCH was issued by Judge A.M. GROSS at 10 o'clock Sunday morning. He did not have a driver's licence as required by Kentucky laws. Funeral and burial services for Mrs. ASHER were conducted Monday afternoon. Furnished by Lynda Combs Gipson, 14 April 2004
