I would love the extra info, but how can I help you in turn, what were you referring to, plus I always heard there was a big question pertaining to Elijah's parentage, and when I had tried to put Nancy and Noble together as i had thought they should be, someone wrote me a not very nice letter and informed me this wasn't so and that I should get my information straightened out, so I erased everything I had had on there and just started over, so I've become very confused and was hoping to find more information to back me up so that I would have a viable argument next time someone would say such to me. But I will be glad to try to help however I can, and I would appreciate any help and thank you. I must go for now, take care, Bonnie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am attaching a picture of it. The story about Samuel Johnston and Mary Wise may be true, but it is also possible that it came from another tragic story. Samuel's grandson, Levi Pennington Johnston, born in 1863, was a county judge in Jackson County. In August 1898, he shot and killed his wife, Armina Bowling Rader Johnston, and then shot himself to death. There is a newspaper article about this tragedy. I have found Dr. Samuel Johnston (b.1808) listed as buried in three different cemeteries--Moores Creek in Jackson County, the Johnson Cemetery and another cemetery at Daisy in Perry County. I still can't figure out where his father, Samuel Johnston born 1777 is buried even though he is listed in 2 cemetery lists--the Johnson Cemetery and the one at Daisy. Thank you for your help. Samuel 1777 is my gggg and samuel 1808 my ggg grandfather. Betty Johnson Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
