Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/nBB.2ACI/2835 Message Board Post: Does anyone have the info on the Washington Combs who died in 1920 in Perry county ? I have been chasing a Washington Combs in Breathitt and even the Combs crew does not know who he is. He shows up in the 1860 census with a Rhoda Smith. The Breathitt Combs website has only questions as to who this Washington was. I do know that he was a gggrandfather of mine. This Combs site speculated that he could be the Washington Combs that died in 1920. Any help would be appreciated. John
Could anyone tell me what the name of the cemetery is there in Jeff up on the hill behind what used to be the old general store on the right. Also who takes care of it. Thanks in advance for the info. Joan
There is no objection from me on this. Most of you know the area now more so than I do. So I leave it to your descretion. I was back down there he summer of 2002 but everything has changed so much it is hard to reconise it. On another note: Could anyone tell me what the name of the cemetery is there in Jeff up on the hill behind what used to be the old general store on the right. Also who takes care of it. I sure am glad your speaking your peace. I have no objection to the next batch of money we raise going to Jim Pete Clean up. I talked to Willard Ashworth, Jr. on this cemetery and he tells me that all the imported oak trees that they planted around it got eaten up by the tree beetles and was falling down. It's been a couple of years since I was at Jim Pete but you couldn't get up the road then, cause it had big ruts in it and a big burm down on the main road built up that you couldn't drive over if you wanted to, Now they tell me the mining company located right near there is supposed to keep up the road up to Jim Pete, I don't know. But it did need some clean up. So if no one has any objections that is where I will try to put our next donations. ttyl JimBob

Hi All Hope everyone is having a good day and staying out of trouble. I just got back from my bank and did some pencil work on our cookbook fund raising efforts. You will be happy to know that as of today we have $264.21 for the cause. I'll put my $200 with that and we have a grand total $464.21 that I would like to give to Willard Ashworth, Jr. for the maintenance of New BlackHawk Cemetery if no one objects. Thank you all for your participation and we can still do more if everyone is willing. I would like suggestions from anyone having them where our next donation should go (Perry Co of course). ttyl JimBob

Hi Sandra and JimBob and all, I looked for a Buelah or Buel in the Ky Birth Index and sure enough, its "BEULAH", born on 14 Jan 1922 to Josie Huff. Good Job! Sandy for catching this error the census-taker made. And thanks again to Betty & Ben Engle for transcribing this precinct for us all. One more thing I'd like to add. Perry County has got the BEST researchers I've seen on any mailing list. We work together well, and help each other as much as possible. Hi Gang, My partner, Jimmie aka JimBob, and I decided that the Perry Co Ky Stuff Page was getting to many links on it. So we thought we'd combine all the death related links into one and put all them together on another page. I hope you like it better, I know I do. Lynda
Sherry According to one of my cemetery books this cemetery is off of Highway 451. Bill Milam is the only one listed and all it gives is age 21 killed in Civil War. Faron Sparkman recorded this cemetery Pat Horne
