    2. Hi Gang, I'm helping another cousin here...read below. Lynda Lynda, We are REAL cousins. Your Nicholas is my John T brother. Thanks so much for the site it looks reallly neat. I'm not sure what I need help with right now. However I am looking for an article that was published in the Troublesome Creek Times about Capt Anderson Hayes and his wife Rachel who was the daughter of Chief Golden Hawk Sizemore.  I had the article once and let someone borrow it and I cant locate it again . If you know where I could get a copy I sure would appreciate it. Thanks, Lou

    3. Because what the bill is really trying to do, is close the Vital Records to everyone. This will hurt genealogists. Or they will raise the prices so high that we won't be able to get a copy of the death certificates or birth certificates. They claim this will stop identity theft. But, with so much information already out there, how is closing these records going to help. > [Original Message] > From: Jim <jcox@mis.net> > To: <KYPERRY-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: 1/25/04 12:20:26 PM > Subject: Re: Spam Alert: [KYPERRY-L] House Bill 100 (here we go again!!) grrr > > Then why try to defeat HB 100? > Jim Cox > jcox@mis.net > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <LyndaCGKyCol@aol.com> > To: <KYPERRY-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2004 11:21 AM > Subject: Re: Spam Alert: [KYPERRY-L] House Bill 100 (here we go again!!) > grrr > > > > In a message dated 1/25/2004 11:18:03 AM Eastern Standard Time, > jcox@mis.net > > writes: > > > > > What's the problem? > > > > > > Jim Cox > > > jcox@mis.net > > > ****************************** > > > > No problem Jim. 2. WILMA JOHNSON
    3. CORONER SEEKS RELATIVES OF WOOTON The Fayette County coroner is looking for friends or relatives of Michael Don Wooton, 33, who died yesterday afternoon at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Deputy Coroner John McCarty said Wooton was found unresponsive yesterday at a friend's home in Lexington, where Wooton had spent the night, before being transported to the hospital. McCarty described Wooton as white, 5-foot-11 and about 175 pounds. Co-workers at Sir Pizza on Richmond Road, where Wooton delivered pizza, say he may be originally from Perry County. His last known address was 2920 Winter Garden Drive, Lexington. Anyone with information can call the coroner's office at (859) 252-5691. WILMA JOHNSON

    2. http://www.lrc.state.ky.us/record/04rs/HB100.htm I think this bill needs to be defeated. If I read this correctly, genealogists will no longer have access to these records (at least not til they become generally public records).  And if you merely fill out an application for a record and are not exactly truthful, well you could become a felon.    If one actually uses one of these records in an act of deception, especially identity theft, then yes, a felony would be in order, in my opinion. KDLA questions the need to generate a fresh index every year, but I haven't heard why that would be a hardship or would not make sense to do.. I mean, they sell the data on a CDROM. If you agree that some or all of this bill needs defeating, please contact your legislator and/or Rep Mike Weaver, the bill's sponsor. Lynda and another Frankfort researcher

    3. I am looking for information about a Marie Fields. She was born about 1913 in or around Letcher or Perry County. Her Parents were Thomas Fields and Julia Brumback. She married a Roy Calame (not sure if the spelling of his last name is correct but it is pronounced cow-la-mee-) His last name could have also been Calames. I dont know when or where he was born. I think Marie and Roy moved to Ohio around the time of their marriage, but I am not certain. I would really like to know more about Roy. If you know anything about either of these 2 please contact me. Thanks in advance Samantha

Sooooo if anyone wants to do this on wordpad, I say have at it. But you won't have an index unless you make one of your own. But there is also another way to do searches by pressing the "Ctrl" key and the "F" key at the same time on any web page, so maybe an index will not be that important. Darlene, if you are out there contact me again. Please. We need your help. Lynda
