    1. [KYPERRY-L] Peg Olson
    2. Jane McEndree
    3. I am looking for a Peg Olson. I had sent out an e-mail earlier today about her but had her first name wrong. She was doing research on an Elizabeth Baker Nickell Davis a few years back but I cannot reach her at the e-mail address that she was using back then. I am also doing research on this same lady. My GGG Grandmother was Elizabeth Baker Nickell and she married John B. Nickell. I think that this Elizabeth Baker Nickell Davis may have been her mother. I know that Peg Olson was a descendant of my GGG Grandmother's sister, Martha Francis Baker who was born in May of 1827 in Perry Co. Ky. and married Henry Oditt and after he drown in a river she married Uriah Cottle. I hope to be able to find Peg Olson because I would like to exchange information with her. Thanks, Jane Little McEndree Jane Little McEndree janemce@sbcglobal.net

    1. [KYPERRY-L] Elizabeth Baker Nickell Davis
    2. Jane McEndree
    3. I am looking for information about Elizabeth [maiden name ?] Baker, Nickell, Davis. She was born about 1792 in Virginia. She was first married to a Baker who was also born in Virginia and they had several children before he died. Elizabeth married Thomas Nickell, Sr. in 1835 in Morgan Co., Ky. and they may have had a son named George Nickell and maybe a daughter named Mahala but Mahala may have also been a grand daughter of Elizabeth's. Thomas Nickell, Sr. and Elizabeth were evidently married for 15 years at the time of the 1850 census so Nancy [listed as Nickell] was not Thomas Nickell's child but was instead a Baker from Elizabeth's previous marriage. Thomas Nickell, Sr. evidently died not long after the 1850 census because Elizabeth was married to James Alfred Davis on May 5, 1853 in Morgan Co., Ky. He had been previously married to a Catherine Salyer and they had 13 children together. James Davis died on Oct. 1, 1861 in West Liberty, Morgan Co., Ky. and was buried on Oct. 3rd at the Southfork Ceme. in West Liberty. Elizabeth died in 1868 in Morgan Co., Ky. Elizabeth Baker's children by a Baker were: 1. Eliza Baker born Sept. 16, 1818 and died July 1889. She married a William Childers in 1859 in Morgan Co.,Ky. 2. Elizabeth Baker born in 1822 or 1823 in Kentucky and died in 1900 in Washington Co., Arkansas. She married John B. Nickell in about 1839 and it is said that she married him in Morgan Co. but I cannot find their marriage record there. They were in Morgan Co., Ky. from 1840 to 1880 with their children and then moved to Washington Co.,Ark. after the 1880 census and settled there. John B. Nickell died before Elizabeth and they are both buried at the Nickell cemetery in Washington Co., Ark. along with several of their children and family members. They are my GGG Grandparents. Their second child, Elizabeth Nickell was born on Dec. 30, 1841 in Morgan Co., Ky. and married Greenville T. Little in about 1860 or 1861 in Morgan Co., Ky. and they had 7 children and moved to Dallas Co., Texas in the late 1870's. The rest of my Elizabeth family moved to Arkansas except one brother, Henry Nickell who stayed in Wolfe Co., Ky 3. Nancy Baker, born abt. 1825 in Ky. I found her listed with her Mother, Elizabeth after she had married Thomas Nickell, Sr. and was in the 1850 census for Morgan Co., Ky. Nancy is listed as an Idiot child there. 4. Martha Francis Baker born May 1827 in Perry Co., Ky. and died April 20, 1924 in Morgan Co., Ky. and she married first a Henry Oditt and after he drown in a river she married Uriah Cottle. It is said that Nancy Baker married a Timothy Terrill on March 9, 1848 in Morgan Co., Ky. I am looking for information on this Elizabeth Baker Nickell Davis and trying to find out what her maiden name was, if it was Patrick or something else and who her first husband, a Baker was for sure. I know that there are some other Bakers there in Perry Co., Ky. and don't know if maybe he was related to them. It looks like they may have lived in Perry Co.,Ky before moving on to Morgan Co,Ky. I know that there was a John Jackson Baker who was married to a Mary Campbell who lived in Perry Co., Ky. and they also had a daughter named Elizabeth who was called Betsy and she was born about the same time as my Elizabeth who married John B. Nickell. However, Betsy Baker married a John Shepherd and then a James Hendrix and was in Perry Co., Ky. while my Elizabeth Bettie Baker Nickell was in Morgan Co., Ky. with her husband, John B. Nickell and children. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jane Little McEndree janemce@sbcglobal.net Jane Little McEndree janemce@sbcglobal.net
