    3. COMBS, Jonathan W. 65, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, January 24, 2012 in his home. He was born in Seco, Kentucky on February 17, 1946, the son of Cicero and Rebecca (Ritchie) Combs. He leaves his beloved wife of 44 years, June Pratt Combs; daughter, Holly Combs of Springfield; two sons, Travis (Tracy) Combs of Springfield and Jubal Combs of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren Aidan Shackleford, Owen Beam, and Sydney, Cheyenne and Hunter Combs; brother, Frank (Marcella) Combs of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; sister, Kathleen "Kat" (Gordon) Hall of Bellair Bluffs, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Harlan, Harvey, Edward, Edgar, and Bobby Van "Jack" Combs; and two sisters, Annaleigh Foren and Carolyn Sue Breeding. Jonathan graduated from Whitesburg High School, attended Clark State, was currently employed by the State of Ohio and previously worked at Cascade Corp. for 13 years. He adored his family, the Outer Banks, loved life, food, fun, family gatherings, and his job. His only dislikes were politicians and winter. He never met a stranger, could and would talk to anyone, and they would feel as if they had made a friend. He was always ready with a joke and was known for his quick wit. If you played a game of Trivial Pursuit, you wanted Jonathan on your team. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-6 p.m. Saturday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to the Cedarville Fire Department and E.M.S. and Greene County Sheriff's Department for their kindness and efforts on Jonathan's behalf.
