    3. Logan Sizemore was born 27 Apr 1871 in Perry County, KY and he died 10 Oct 1952 in Letcher County, KY. He was still in prison at the 1910 census. Clayton Austin Combs Age: 89 Visitation: After 6:00 PM Thursday, May 31st, at Bowling Funeral Home Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Friday, June 1st, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel Interment: Floyd Cemetery at Dog Branch, KY Clayton Austin Combs was born on July 27, 1922, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, the son of the late Shiloh and Larsena Smith Combs. He was united in marriage to Martha Ellen Combs, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter: Lorena Ellison of Corbin, one foster son: Steven Scott Johnson of Michigan, one brother: Morton Combs of Emmalena, Kentucky, four grandchildren: Brian Theodore, Derek Allen, Rachael Ellison and Loren Ellison, ten great-grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one daughter: Glenyce Carver, two sisters: Nancy and Hazel and three brothers: D. V., Shorty and Harm. He was retired from General Motors and was United States Army veteran, serving during World War II. Clayton Austin Combs departed this life at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky, on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Services conducted by Bernard Ellison. He was born in Perry County, March 23, 1920, the son of the late Cicero C. Combs and Rebecca Ritchie Combs. He was a retired coal miner, an employee of General Motors, Livonia, Michigan, a member of Lonesome Pine Masonic Lodge #884 F&AM of Neon, and an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Vauda Caudill Combs, whom he married July 7, 1945, in Cromana, Kentucky; one son, Bobby Van Combs, Wayne Michigan; two daughters, Peggy Wilcox, May King, Kentucky, and Melanie Smith, Ft. Knox; four brothers, Harvey Combs, Zenia, Ohio, Edward Combs, Harrison, Arkansas, Frank Combs, Orient, Ohio; Jonathan Combs, Jamestown, Ohio,; three sisters, Kathleen Hall and Sue Breeding, both of Indian Shores, Florida, and Ann Floren, Taylor, Michigan; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today at 7 p.m. at Denham Street Baptist Church with the Revs. J. S. New, Bruce Conley, and Bill Craft officiating. The family is there in 1900 but I can't find them in the 1910 census. I know that they had to live in the same area in 1910 because in 1924 my grandfather and Parret Combs had a child together.
