    3. We find the remains of pawpaws all over the driveway. The critters don't eat it all. They are much better at climbing trees than we are so they get them first. Those trees are not made for climbing unless you are a critter! They might be stronger and better formed in a different location. We just have so many trees it makes it hard on them all. 3. Sharon, We have so many critters running around here at night that we have never had an edible pawpaw from our trees. They always seem to know whereto find them! 3. Ah...this brings back wonderful memories of my grandmother spoon feeding me pawpaw on our front porch on Georges Creek in Lawrence Co. in the mid 40s. We had a pawpaw tree near the end of our porch. If you have never eaten pawpaw....it takes almost exactly like banana. The consistence is much softer than bananas, thus the spoon feeding. Thank you for brining back this memory from 60 some odd years ago.
