    2. Lynda: I kept on clicking on urls and finally I found KYPERRY3/PERRYCOKYSTUFFPAGE in my old notes and I clicked on this and there I was. Thanks so much, just ignore my plea for help. I was fortunate to get some of my genealogy notes, etc. saved but not much. The repair people are still working on it. This will teach me to do back-up as both you and J. 2. Lynda: I know you are very busy and I saw the latest email from you alerting us that the Alfred Couch School Class, etc. was now on your Perry County Stuff Page. I think I have told you that my computer crashed and I am still down but able to get an email in and out. I cannot get my server to recognize [email protected] Here is what I get: Your search - [email protected] - did not match any documents. Can you help me here as I would surely love to see this picture and I miss Perry County Stuff Page. I was able to access it once but no more. I am in the process of moving to another part of Spartanburg and I am certain they offer DSL in this other area but not where I am living now. Maybe things will change shortly, I hope so. 1. [KYPERRY] Library of VA research: seeking an authority on Clay/Perry Cty Smiths
    2. K E
    3. Greetings, I apologize for the intrusion but I'm wondering if someone on the list might be able to help me. I'm currently working on researching the Clay and Perry Kentucky KY Smiths (descendants of Rev. Richard Smith and Nancy Alicia Combs). I've managed to locate a nice woman in Virginia who has generously volunteered to do a lookup or two about the origins of the Smiths at the Library of Virginia and I'm trying now to find an authority on this family who could give us a sense of what Virginia county records would be most beneficial to explore. It is suggested frequently in online citations that William Smith was the father of Rev Richard Smith (who went into Kentucky) and that the Smiths had come to east Virginia from England in the middle of the 18th century. This may well be true - I don't know - but none of these citations seem to be properly sourced and my volunteer friend needs somewhere more specific than "east Virginia" to explore. Any insights would be appreciated. Best regards, Kenneth Hempel --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
