Services 1 pm Sat., Maggard Brothers Chapel. Visit 6 - 9 pm Fri. at the chapel. Carter Trucker killed in I-68 crash- FLINTSTONE, Md. (AP) - A truck driver was killed in one of several accidents that closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 68 in Western Maryland this morning. State police in Cumberland have identified the victim as 38-year-old Shannon Combs of Rowdy, Kentucky. Police say Combs was driving a tractor-trailer that ran off the highway before dawn, just west of Exit 62 at Flintstone. Police say the rig hit a guardrail and overturned on an embankment, ejecting Combs. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Eastbound traffic was detoured onto Route 144. Police say the eastbound lanes were closed for about five hours. Less than two hours after the fatal crash, a second one-vehicle accident was reported in the traffic backup -- a mile-and-a-half from the first crash. But police say only minor injuries resulted. A third accident was reported late this morning in the eastbound lanes near the Allegany-Washington county line. There are no additional details.
