    3. Bobby, Your wife and I have common ancestors in Jeremiah Highfill (the elder) and his wife Sabra [--?--]. I am descended from Jeremiah (the younger) and his wife, Mary Tayor. Your wife is descended from his brother, Leonard, and Margaret Taylor. Jeremiah and Leonard married sisters, daughters of Robert Taylor and his wife; that makes second pair of ancestors which your wife and I have in common. Jeremiah Highfill and Mary Taylor were married on 13 December 1804 in Pendleton County. Leonard Highfill and Margaret Taylor married on 26 July 1810. Leonard married Elizabeth Ammerman on 17 November 1822 in Pendleton County. Leonard was wounded in the Battle of Ft. Meigs and late in life received a disability pension as a result. Jeremiah (the elder) was born about 1750 in Maryland; his wife, Sabra [--?--}, was born about 1750 in Virginia. A search of the Pendleton County Kentucky GenWeb site, http://www.rootsweb.com/~kypendle/ brings up lots of hits on Highfill (and its other spellings), Ammerman, and Pettit. You may already be aware of this site; if so, please forgive my redundancy.
