Bobby Hunt, Re: florence - morris - peddicord - ammerman - pettit - angell - vendler - fryman - cook - hukill - northcutt I am a descendant of Jeremiah Highfill (Highfield/Hyfield) who moved from Maryland to Kentucky shortly before 1790. He and his descendants lived there, including in Pendleton County, and later moved to southern Indiana. His son, Jeremiah and his wife, Mary Taylor (a daughter of Robert Taylor of Pendleton County), moved from southern Indiana to Vermillion County, Indiana, in the mid-1820's. Their son, Thomas (my ancestor), moved from Vermillion County to Scott County, Arkansas, late in 1840, following the parents of his wife, Mary Jane Hunt, and other kinspersons. Mary Jane's parents, Daniel Hunt and Mary "Polly" Wiseman had migrated to Scott County in the mid- to late 1830's from Orange County, Indiana. I am searching for information relating to the elder Jeremiah Highfill and his children and their lines. Jeremiah Highfill's children intermarried, in and around Pendleton County, with the Ammermans, the Petits, and perhaps others among the surnames you listed in your note. The ties to the Hunts are quite strong as well. Will Highfill williamhighfill@charter.net
