I would like to read the whol article Here is the complete article as it appeared in the Falmouth Outlook. Birthday anniversaries come but once a year, and can not be too richly enjoyed when they do roll around. Really they are not enough noticed and attended to keep up the family reunion as it should be. Here is nothing nicer than to witness "pa and ma," sons and daughter and children galore at a big family reunion, as they live over the happy times of other years. Such were our thoughts last Sunday as we "hove" in sight of the pretty home of our friends, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Simpson, near Antioch Mills, and noticed the large number of autos and the big crowd of friends and relatives gathered together to pay homage and celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Lizzie Simpson and her eldest son, Clarence. It was a pleasant sight indeed. There were "Uncle" John Riddell of Falmouth, father of Mrs. Simpson looking almost as young as he did twenty years agon, and her two brothers, Charley and Jim, also looking well. The whole thing was gotten up as a surprise to Mrs. Simpson, and the plans were well laid and certainly well executed, surprising Mrs. Simpson greatly. ‘Twas a well pulled off stunt. As to the dinner, it was complete in every particular, ther being lots of it and to spare, it being well prepared and well served. The following persons were present: Bro. S. W. Allen, his excellent wife and little son, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Simpson and three children Mr. & Mrs. Ezra Simpson and two children Mr. & Mrs. Claude Simpson and two children Mr. & Mrs. Louis Pigg and two children Mr. & Mrs. Llewellin Simpson and three children Johnnie Simpson John Riddell, Sr. Mr. & Mrs. Charley Riddell and Christine Jas. Riddell Paul Simpson Ray, Clay and Crawley Simpson Mrs. M. A. Kendrick Mr. & Mrs. Fed C. Elliott and two children Mr. & Mrs. John Price and son Mr. & Mrs. Ora Price and three children Mr. & Mrs. Larkin Price and two children Mrs. Dave Lyons and daughter Mr. & Mrs. Dow Bush and two children Mrs. Mae Earl and two children Frank Barnes and daughter L. T. Lyons Everett Williams Carlos Pigg Fred Rainey, Dr. Henry Will and Raymond Cookendorfer Mr. & Mrs. Joe Simpson several guests altogether, all of whom enjoyed the occasion immensely. Bro. Allen and his estimable wife, now engaged in a series of meetings at Antioch Mills, were valuable assistants in making the reunion all the more pleasant. Of course Bro. Allen was long at the table – but the eatables were so tempting. ============================== Items of interest to: Doug Harper Biloxi, MS
