Battleship Utah, left New York last week with the Atlantic Fleet, for South American Waters. The outfit will make an extended cruise in the South Seas, and he expects to return to the States next June. Distinguished men aboard the Utah on this cruise are General Pershing and several other high officers of the United States Army and Navy. Mr. Woolery has recently been promoted to radio gunner on the Utah. He has been in the radio service for the navy for the past 10 years. During the World War he was on the U. S. destroyer Cummings, and his ship sunk several submarines. Mr. Woolery has been around the world several times with the Uncle Sam's forces. Banks conducted the funeral of Mrs. Laura Vanlandingham Cummins, in Crittenden. Eight years ago he conducted her husband's funeral. At that time he was attending Transylvania College and preaching at Crittenden.
