Julie Following is the full write up of the death of Mrs. Wyatt Miller Lawson and her husband John Lawson. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Falmouth Outlook 5 Sep 1924 Vol. 18 No 14 Pg. 8 Col. 1 Deaths Mrs. Wyatt Miller Lawson For months Mrs. Wyatt Miller Lawson known as "grandma," has sit in sweet contemplation of the Mystic Step, the step that would lead to the finest spot, under the fairest skies, beside the clearest streams, watching the choicest flowers and listening to the sweetest songs. On Monday morning, October 20th, the messenger of death took her through the slumber of death where she will awake and shed once more the glory of her Christian life in the joyous home above. "Grandma Lawson" was born July 15, 1842. In early life she heard the voice of the Shepard, followed him and with a calm, hopeful and glorious outlook she took up her life with Jesus. At a tender age she was wedded to John Lawson, who passed on down the valley October 26, 1911. She leaves nine children, three sons and six daughters, to greatly deplore the loss of a good mother. Also thirty-five grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as numerous friends and neighbors. All that loving hands and hearts could do to make this life's pilgrimage close to peace and contentment all that was conducive to the luxuries and comforts that were so well merited was done. These grief stunned sons and daughters may find consolation in the benediction of the sweet patient smile of their sainted mother. The evidence of her great faith was especially demonstrated by her eagerness to sever the golden ties to this world and enter into the next. Still, united with Christ, clothed with her righteousness, she is welcomed into heaven. Funeral services were conducted at her home at Demossville, KY., Wednesday, by Rev. Herbert Moore, of Ruddles Mills, KY., in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing and sympathetic friends after which all that was earthly of "Grandma Lawson" was laid in the grave under a bank of beautiful flowers to rest till the resurrection. "Only good night, beloved, and not farewell A little while and all his saints shall dwell In Hallowed union, indivisible: Good Night Until we meet again before his throne Clothed in the spotless robes he gives his own, Until we know even as we are known: Good Night." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Falmouth Outlook 3 Nov 1911 Vol 5 No 20 Pg. 1 Col. 3 Deaths John Lawson John Lawson, who has been quite ill for some time at his home in Demossville, passed peacefully to rest last Friday morning at 10 o'clock. He leaves a wife and several sons and daughters, for he was a kind father. He is gone to rest, with the hope of a Christian in his breast. Much sympathy is felt for the family in their bereavement. ++++++++++++++++++ Unfortunately neither of them have any names of family members. A search of estate records in Pendleton County after Mr. Lawson's death might give some good data. Doug Harper Biloxi, MS
