Indianapolis Star 4/20/2004 Ruth J.Shields Dobson 84 of Indianapolis, passed away April 19.2004 at her home. Ruth was born on August 15, 1919, in Falmouth,KY to Sarah E. (Flynn) and William T. Shields. She moved to Indianapolis after marring George M. Dobson. She was a homemaker. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Feeney - Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Burial will be at Forrest Lawn Cemetery. Calling will Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Feeney - Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George Dobson. She is survived by her children: George (Mike), Clarence (Bill) Dobson, Judy Anderson, Sharon Early-Hirt and Jamie Nicley; 11 Grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Effie Mavis, Elizabeth Powell; brothers, John and William Shields, grandchildren,Traci Anderson, Theresa Dobson and Eric Early.
