My 3rd great-grandfather was John Ewing who settled in the area during the late 18th century. His son Ben Taylor Ewing is a direct ancestor and a farmer in what is now known as Morgan. My great-grandfather and Ben's son, John James Ewing, served the Confederacy in the 4th Kentucky Cavalry until wounded and captured sometime during Morgan's last raid into Kentucky. I have heard that there was a photograph of John James and others published in the Falmouth newspaper. Can someone please direct me in how to go about obtaining copies of that article, and possible obituaries of Ben Taylor (d. June 1880) and his wife Eleanor (d. Jul 1876). Any help regarding this and any other anecdotes of this family would be much appreciated.
