Hi, I thought I'd take a moment to announce a website I have been developing over the past couple of months for the genealogical and local history research of Harrison County, among whose neighbors are Pendleton, Robertson, Nicholas, Bourbon, Scott, & Grant Counties. It can be found at www.harrisoncountyky.us, or if that link should not work try www.familyhistorytime.com/harrisoncountyky. Both are URLs for the same place. I have been interested in Harrison County genealogy and local history research for the past twelve years and so have collected quite a bit of information which I thought would be of interest in tracking down those ever elusive ancestors. I have posted quite a few items to www.harrisoncountyky.us to aid in the local and genealogical research of Harrison County, and hope to have more to add in the coming months. Some of the materials may not be 'new' and can be found elsewhere on the web, but there are and will be quite a few unique items to be found here and nowhere else. The index of World War I records that can be accessed through the 'Harrison County History' page is one such example I am relatively new to web publishing, so please bear with me if you encounter any problems with the site. There are still spots that are 'under construction.' It is best viewed at a 1024x768 resolution on a 17-inch monitor using Internet Explorer. Some of the pages should play music, but maybe not, depending on the computer. Please let me know if there are any problems with the function of the site or errors in the texts, and I will see what I can do. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the site and find something useful in it. If you have any materials or suggestions to improve the site, please let me know. I only have one pair of hands to type with and am still working on my own family tree, but have found the work on this website to be a lot of fun and a learning experience, which is what genealogy should be about. Until later, take care, and Enjoy! Philip Naff Indianapolis, Ind.
Thank you for the site. As an ex Indianapolis Hoosier and Pendleton Co. Kentuckian I really appreciate what is being done. Sincerely, Keith W.
