Owing to the bad day, he was not expecting any one and it was a great surprise when the guests arrived at an early hour with well filled baskets. At the noon hour all were invited to partake f all the goodies of the season. Some splendid music was rendered on the organ, guitar and violin, and all had a fine time, spent in friendly conversation and mutual rejoicing. The day was so spent that it will be one long to be remembered by all present. Those who had the pleasure of being with Mr. & Mrs. Whalen on this happy occasion were: Mr. & Mrs. John Eckar Mr. & Mrs. Evin Whalen Mr. & Mrs. Lyman Price Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Turner and two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Hildreth.
