Sunday Santa Fe Falmouth Outlook Volume 14 Number 20 22 Oct 1920 Pg. 1 Col. 4 Birthday surprise Sunday was indeed the ending of a perfect day for two brothers, J.P. and V.A. Martin, it being the former's 58th birthday anniversary and the latter's 54th. Unknown to them, their children and relatives arranged for a surprise dinner at the beautiful country home of J.P. Martin, which proved a success by the clever way in which it was carried out, both in the enjoyable day spent and in the great abundance of good things to eat, prepared by real artists in the culinary line. After the remains of the feast had been cleared away, the afternoon was spent mainly in pleasant conversation on the present and past event, with the addition of music and the singing of several beautiful hymns. Later in the afternoon ice-cream and cake were served, after which the guest departed wishing Messrs. Martin many more happy birthdays.
