Deatherage motered to Falmouth Wednesday, August 4th and in the County Judge's office of that city, were united in marriage by Judge M.S. Mills. The bride is the beautiful young girl and is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C. Deatherage, of Pleasant Ridge. She was dressed in white georgette, with hat, gloves and shoes to match, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. She being handsome always in appearance never looked more charming, and presented the picture of loveliness more than in her wedding attire. Miss Frances Deatherage, her sister, bridesmaid, was dressed in blue georgette, and also carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Mr. Hickman McMillan was the groom's best man. The bridegroom wore a suit of dark green and was at his best appearance, and a more beautiful twain never set sail from Hymen's Altar on the sea of connubial bliss. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. F.M. Norton, also of Pleasant Ridge, but for many years were residents of Knoxville. Your pen pusher most heartily joins the numerous friends of this happy couple in their wishes that the hearts of this twain cemeted into one will ever throb as a unit and their lives throughout may be a continuous honeymoon, prosperous and heartful. Dahms near Falmouth, on Sunday, Aug 15th, when the friends and old neighbors of J.W. Feagan and family, now of Moore's Hill, IN met with well filled baskets and the old Kentucky smile in honor of J.W. and family and Mr. & Mrs. Bert Evans of Moore's Hill who motored through in five hours, just in time for the big feast that awaited them. The day was highly enjoyed by all present. No one ever left Old Pendleton with more good friends than J.W. Feagan and family. While they like Indiana extremely well, they surely enjoyed meeting their old neighbors, and this occasion will never be forgotten. This was Mr. & Mrs. Evans' first visit to Kentucky and the warm welcome they received and the prosperity of old Kentucky made for them a most pleasant trip. Those present were L.H. Cram and family, Harry Mocaly, Emery and Russell Cox, Tom Delaney and family, Will Delaney and wife, James Ware and wife, Mrs. Nora Wilson, son and daugher, James Feagan and wife and H.P. Feagan and son. Falmouth Outlook Volume 14 Number 11 20 Aug 1920 Pg. 4 Col. 6 Payne, Mary Shirley b. 5 May 1909 d. 11 Aug 1920 d. of burns in home bur. Gum Lick Cem. dau.
