I posted this a few years ago about some results we were receiving in the McQueen/McQuinn DNA Study. I am reposting it to try and get more discussion, involvement and possible participation for the study. "The latest DNA results show a biological relationship between John Beatty McQueen 1825-1912 of Estill, Lee and Owsley County, KY with an unnamed Beatty ancestor. There are several researchers who have shown John Beatty McQueen was the son of Elizabeth "Betsy" McQueen and an unnamed father. This unnamed father may have been Samuel of Henry Beatty of Beattysville, KY or a close male Beatty relative of theirs. Further DNA samples are needed from Henry Beatty Asbell, an illegitimate son of Henry Beatty; Samuel Beatty of Beattysville, KY; Samuel McQueen c1799-1856 and Samuel McQueen c1825, the other son of Elizabeth McQueen, above. We would love to hear from you so we can discuss what steps need to be done to prove or disprove these hypotheses." Please contact me off-list at skendall@kc.rr.com Thanks Scott Kendall McQueen DNA Study.

Lynda I talked to Wander Vader this morning about her Combs family. Her grandparents were Ruford Combs and Hazel Frost of Owsley Co. Her mother was Margie Peters. She gave me her Aunt Linda Belle's phone number but I have not been able to contact her for more information about her Combs Family. Anyway we know who Gene Edward Combs' parents were. 1Th 4:13-14 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. May your family know the special comfort only from the Lord. You are in our prayers.
