Happy New Year! As part of my New Year Resolutions I am attempting to make some changes in the way I am doing things. I have decide that everyone would be much better off if, instead of doing lots of different things very poorly, I would concentrate on doing fewer things better....or at least less poorly!!!!! William VAUGHN was in Owsley Co., Ky in 1880. He is the son of Jonathan Vaughn who was in the Hawkins Co., TN area. WILLIAM VAUGHN son of Jonathan Vaughn (b. 1800 Hawkins co., TN) Born: 1824-1827 Hawkins Co. TN Died:?? Married: Cynthia CREWS 6 Aug 1846 Grainger Co., TN Born: ca 1825-1826 TN Died:?? Daughter of: Children: Prudence Kate b.1845 TN prob Grai Co TN married: William Floyd Samuel b. 1843 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Laura A. b. 1850 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Jonathan b. 1851 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: William b. 1853 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Mary E. b. 1855 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married; Creed b. 1857 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Ruben b. 1860 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Robert b. 1864 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Archie b. 1865 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Spicy E. b. 1872 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: He can first be found in Grainger Co., TN in 1850:VANN, I find no other Vaughn's in Grainger Co., TN in 1850. 1860 he can be found again still living in Grainger Co., TN: VONN. He can not be found in 1870, possibly he is in ARK. In 1880 he can be found in Owsley Co., KY. At this time I have no further record of William. Notes from Eloyce Vaughn say that Will had two sons that ran a distillery in Little Rock Arkansas. I beleive this is in Madison Co., AK. According to age, these sons would probably be Samuel and Jonathan or Wm. One of the daughters apparently married a REESE, the grandchild is found living with William and Cynthia in KY. Henry REESE. In 1860 there is a James M. Stratton b. 1810 and caroline Stratton b. 1830. I do not know of the relationship here. Does anyone know anything about this William or any of his children? illiam VAUGHN was in Owsley Co., Ky in 1880. He is the son of Jonathan Vaughn who was in the Hawkins Co., TN area. Daughter of: Children: Prudence Kate b.1845 TN prob Grai Co TN married: William Floyd Samuel b. 1843 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Laura A. b. 1850 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Jonathan b. 1851 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: William b. 1853 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Mary E. b. 1855 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married; Creed b. 1857 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Ruben b. 1860 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Robert b. 1864 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Archie b. 1865 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: Spicy E. b. 1872 TN prob Grainger Co., TN married: He can first be found in Grainger Co., TN in 1850:VANN, I find no other Vaughn's in Grainger Co., TN in 1850. 1860 he can be found again still living in Grainger Co., TN: VONN. He can not be found in 1870, possibly he is in ARK. In 1880 he can be found in Owsley Co., KY. At this time I have no further record of William. Notes from Eloyce Vaughn say that Will had two sons that ran a distillery in Little Rock Arkansas. I beleive this is in Madison Co., AK. According to age, these sons would probably be Samuel and Jonathan or Wm. One of the daughters apparently married a REESE, the grandchild is found living with William and Cynthia in KY. Henry REESE. In 1860 there is a James M. Stratton b. 1810 and caroline Stratton b. 1830.
